Early detection is the key to
avoiding costly and painful dental treatment. Prevention begins with
the control of plaque and calculus, the main
cause of decay and periodontal disease. In fact, the major cause
of tooth loss in adults is periodontal disease, because most patients
feel no symptoms until it is too late. With regular dental visits,
we
can treat gum disease at an early stage, before it gets out of hand.
One third of all adult patients have some form of gum disease. We try
to diagnose it, stop the progression, and help patients understand how
to
prevent
it from going any further. We concentrate on non-surgical periodontal
treatment with diagnosis, evaluation of existing gum problems, cleaning,
scaling and root planings, as well as fluoride at-home treatments.

We're a firm believer in nightguards for night grinders. A nightguard
is a thin transparent custom-made tray made in the shape of your dental
arch for good tooth alignment and accurate bite relationship. This
splint is worn at night between the top and bottom teeth, absorbing
the force of grinding and clenching. We also do occlusal equilibration
to help eliminate any traumatic contacts or traumatic biting.

- Charting and Diagnostic Services - Arestin - Arestin® (minocycline
HCl 1mg) microspheres provides dentists and hygienists with a way to
treat periodontal disease. Arestin uses microsphere technology that
delivers minocycline, a potent antibiotic that kills the bacteria that
cause periodontal disease. Minocycline is placed painlessly under the
gum, directly to the infected site.
